According to the News bulletin, the changes include "Updated Items and Balancing of Weapons."

Shields have been refactored across the board. Higher level shields provide more protection but consume more energy relative to damage prevented. This will do a lot to solve the slug-fest problem
, and it means that shields will got broken a LOT more often. Very interesting!
L07 Shield 1 - Absorbs 20% of damage, consuming 1 energy per 2 points of damage.Side Weapons
L16 Shield 2 - Absorbs 30% of damage, consuming 1 energy per 1 point of damage.
L22 Shield 3 - Absorbs 40% of damage, consuming 3 energy per 2 point of damage.
L30 Shield 4 - Absorbs 50% of damage, consuming 2 energy per 1 point of damage.
L36 Safe Shot - now requires 10 bullets per use. Cost also increased to 27,500.
L23 Yelloworm - knockback reduced from 2 to 1.
